ZEF has recently commenced work on sustainably
developing an tropical island in the Caribbean. The island
of Salt Cay is one of only 10 inhabited islands in a group of
40 islands and cays that make up the Turks and Caicos.
The ultra-low density resort will be an example of true
sustainable development encompassing social, economic
and environmental benefits.
ZEF’s work involves developing the complete infrastructure
on the island including electricity generation, water
production and waste management.
Additionally, the implementation of green technologies and
MEP services are also being carried out by ZEF, with a core
focus on hurricane resistant design approaches. The use
of life cycle assessment is also being used in areas of the
development with a delicate environmental balance.
