ZEF Tech owns a proprietary waste-to-energy technology that converts a wide variety of organic wastes, such as food and animal wastes, into biogas and organic fertilizer. The technology is referred to as High Solids Anaerobic Digestion (HSAD).

The biogas, which is about 60% methane and 40% CO2, can be used to fuel industrial boilers, generate electricity, refined to bio-methane, upgraded to pipeline quality natural gas, or converted to methanol.
